Summer is coming to an end. Can you believe it?!?
I can’t say I’ve ever been on a roller coaster of emotional highs and lows as I have in this one season.
Before I close the chapter on summer 2018, I soul searched for the joyous moments of the past few months...
•Like when we began planting flowers in our yard. We finally have beautiful color blooming everywhere, I couldn’t be happier!!
•Like the time I chased Duke in the yard, at 4am, in my granny pj’s, doing my best not to scream because he found a dead rat and wouldn’t let go. It took every ounce of my strength to pry it out of his doggy jaws of life. I’m still traumatized...and laughing.
•Like the time I watched Mama Mia II, danced and sang in my seat and couldn’t stop humming Dancing Queen two weeks later. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend. Part 1 is on Netflix.
•Like the time Suki found a potato worm and carried it around for an entire day like it was her baby. The things dogs do!
•Like the time I wrote a Kickstarter page for a client and watched her reach her sales goal in under 12-hours and 4x her goal in under 2-weeks. It felt like pulling the lever on a slot machine and watching the numbers spin.
•Or when I decided to re-design my home office. It’s my fifth (or sixth) redesign and so far, my best. I had such a blast!
This was a fun exercise because there were many more small moments that were funny, fun, memorable.
There were sad, frustrating, make-me-wanna-scream moments too but I feel so much better when I focus on the good...we all do.
If we were lounging side-by-side at the Catskills, we’d bond over fruity drinks with pink umbrellas and then exchange emails on the back of a ring stained coaster. (HOW FAB IS THAT?!)
THE BAD NEWS? We’re all out of coasters. The good news? We can still become email pen-pals. Yay! My email is email@example.com. What’s yours?
